Two decades of principled legal practice
Fairborn Legal Associates began in 2003 when founder Margaret Fairborn left a large City firm with a conviction: quality legal advice should not be reserved for corporations and the wealthy. She opened our first office with two colleagues and a commitment to serving ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges.
That founding principle still guides us today. Over twenty-one years, we have grown to a team of twelve solicitors, yet we remain deliberately mid-sized. This allows us to offer the expertise of a larger practice while preserving the personal attention that defines our approach.
Every client who walks through our doors receives the same consideration, whether their matter is complex commercial litigation or drafting a simple will. The law can feel intimidating, and part of our role is making it accessible.
The values that shape every interaction
We provide honest assessments, even when the truth is difficult. You deserve to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your position before making decisions.
Legal jargon serves lawyers, not clients. We explain matters in plain language and ensure you truly understand each step of the process.
Not every problem requires the most aggressive approach. We tailor strategies to achieve your goals efficiently, respecting your time and resources.
We answer calls and return messages promptly. When you need your solicitor, they should be reachable without endless delays.
Law evolves constantly. Our solicitors invest significantly in professional development to ensure our advice reflects current legislation and case law.
We support local organisations through pro bono work and volunteering. A thriving community benefits everyone, including our practice.
